I really don't see what's wrong with hosing them off every once in a while...and some of my shoes have great teething soles!
Thank you for the educational reading material...this should be mandatory reading for anyone considering raising children. I only wish I would have read it sooner: I wouldn't have to wash my skirt five times a day and maybe the kids wouldn't be so terrified of the babysitter I bring in off the streets. (And thanks for the potty warning!)
