Forgiven

You know what this boy did today? I had a dental cleaning this morning, and didn't get around to finding a babysitter for him. I took a huge risk and brought him with me. And do you know what? He was an angel. He sat on the twirly chair and drew spaceships. He chirped and chirped to the hygienist about how he used to be two, and now he's three. How three is a 'pink' birthday, whatever that means. He told her all about Peter Pan, and how if you think happy thoughts you can fly. He sat still for a whole hour, and thoroughly charmed everyone.

I think I'll keep him after all.

Isn't funny that when he had his melt down the other day you probably wanted people to think he was somebody's else's kid? And yesterday were you were beaming with pride as he sat there adorable, polite, and sweet. I don't know about you or anyone else but when kids act like that it makes me feel like a million, no a trillion bucks. And, yes, I know I should never connect how I feel about myself in correlation to how my kids behave but,I do, I'll be the first to admit. I don't get payed real money to teach them all day long so for me its like a paycheck, I just can't buy the new sewing machine I want with it.

What a little sweetheart. It is so, so nice when they do that, isn't it? It almost makes up for those times when they, say, throw ice balls at their little cousins and make them cry and then sass their aunts about it... almost.

Just when you think you can stay mad at them forever they shake it up! Adorable picture.

We had a similar situation when we went shopping and it was our oldest one's naptime.

One second he was all happy, the next he wanted to go home.

Needless to say, we hadn't even managed to start our shopping so we decided to leave, kid screaming and kicking, and as soon as he got home he feel asleep.

That was our worst one so far, so yes, now I know how that feels, it looks funny now, it didn't look that funny as it happened :)

I think that is what they would have called a 'deposit' in my marriage and family class. :-)

What a cutie, and totally a keeper.
